Paul Prager
Founder & President
Mr. Prager founded and has served as the President of Beowulf E&D and its predecessor companies since 1990. Mr. Prager is also the Chairman and CEO of TeraWulf Inc., a Nasdaq-listed cryptocurrency mining company. Mr. Prager has extensive investment and entrepreneurial experience in international shipping, commodity trading, and power generation. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Mr. Prager is a member of the investment committee and Trustee of the USNA Foundation.
Michael Enright
SVP, External Affairs
Michael Enright is the Senior Vice President of External Affairs at Beowulf E&D, where he oversees all regulatory, government and community relations. Prior to joining Beowulf in 2010, Mr. Enright spent almost 20 years in local, state, and federal government. From 1999-2007, Mr. Enright served as First Deputy Mayor in Baltimore where he served in a chief of staff role; and from 2007-2010 he served as Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the Governor of Maryland. Mr. Enright also previously served as Legislative Director for then-Congressman Benjamin Cardin (Maryland) before he was elected to the United States Senate, and as executive assistant to the Maryland Attorney General. Mr. Enright received a B.A. in English from Tulane University and an M.P.A. from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
Douglas Halliday
SVP, Operations Management
Douglas Halliday is the Senior Vice President of Operations Management and has worked for Beowulf E&D and its predecessor companies for over 20 years. In this capacity, he is responsible for operations and maintenance activities for Beowulf E&D’s facilities. Prior to joining Beowulf in 1992, Mr. Halliday was a Managing Director of Interocean Shipping Company, where he was responsible for daily operations, logistics, dry docking, repair, and trading for maritime vessels.
Jim Nolan
SVP, Engineering
Jim Nolan is the Senior Vice President of Engineering for Beowulf E&D, where he oversees all design, engineering, and maintenance activities for Beowulf E&D’s facilities. Prior to joining Beowulf in 1999, Jim co-founded Colorado Energy Management LLC, an energy infrastructure management company specializing in operations and maintenance, asset management, and construction management for independent power producers. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont and Professional Engineering and/or construction licenses in California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, and Utah.
Barbara Guiltinan
SVP, Risk Management
Barbara Guiltinan is the Senior Vice President of Risk Management at Beowulf Electricity and Data Inc., responsible for risk management and compliance. Prior to joining Beowulf in 2010, Ms. Guiltinan was a Partner and Director in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications and Energy groups at Arthur Andersen LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP, and has over 24 years of prior public accounting experience serving public and private clients. Ms. Guiltinan has substantial experience serving public companies and dealing with SEC reporting issues and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance matters. Ms. Guiltinan received a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and is a certified public accountant.
Daniel Stewart
Chief Financial Officer
Daniel Stewart is the Chief Financial Officer of Beowulf E&D, where he is responsible for the firm’s financial activities including accounting, budgeting, treasury, and human resources. Prior to joining Beowulf in 2007, Mr. Stewart was a Manager in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Deloitte & Touche LLP and prior to this, he worked in the Audit, Assurance, and Advisory Services Group within the firm’s energy industry for five years. Mr. Stewart holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences and an M.S. in Accounting from North Carolina State University and is a certified public accountant.
Shanna Applen
VP, Corporate Controller
Shanna Applen is a Vice President and the Corporate Controller of Beowulf E&D where she supervises all accounting and financial functions, including the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts and monitoring of performance metrics. Ms. Applen joined Beowulf in 1996 and holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Colorado.
Gary Arneson
VP, Operations Management
Gary Arneson is a Vice President of Operations Management for Beowulf E&D, where he oversees operational activities. Mr. Arneson joined Beowulf in 2007 and has worked in the power industry since 1990 in design, construction, startup, and operations. Mr. Arneson received his training in the United States Navy as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician from 1983 to 1989.
Jerry Goodenough
VP, Project Management
Mr. Goodenough is a Vice President of Project Management for Beowulf E&D, where he oversees development and construction management for the Company’s facilities. Mr. Goodenough has nearly 35 years of experience in the energy industry and previously held various roles with the AES Corporation and New York State Electric and Gas Corp. He holds a B.S. in Physics from Ithaca College and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Binghamton University.
Jack Gleim
VP, Power and Analytics
Mr. Gleim has been with the Beowulf E&D team since 2017, spearheading energy procurement and demand response strategies. Mr. Gleim works closely with the corporate finance team, lending his extensive valuation expertise across the energy supply chain. He holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering and a Minor in Finance from Marietta College.
James Kacergis
VP, Business Development
Mr. Kacergis is responsible for business development, innovation, and special projects for Beowulf E&D. Prior to joining Beowulf, Mr. Kacergis was the Vice President of Investment Research at NovaWulf Digital Management, focusing on public and private digital infrastructure investments. Before that, Mr. Kacergis was an Associate of Credit Research at Onex Credit, focusing on the retail and consumer products industry. Mr. Kacergis began his career as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy, deploying three times on the USS Michigan to the Western Pacific, and qualifying as a Nuclear Engineer by US Naval Reactors. Mr. Kacergis holds a B.S. in Quantitative Economics and a minor in Chinese from the United States Naval Academy.
John Marabella
Site Construction and Environmental Manager
Mr. Marabella is a Construction, Environmental, and Site Manager for the New York Assets, where he oversees site construction, environmental compliance, and development site activities for the New York facilities. Mr. Marabella has nearly 35 years in the energy industry and previously held various roles with New York State Electric and Gas Corporation, AES Corporation, and Upstate New York Power Producers. He holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University at Buffalo.
Kyle McCormack
VP, Regulatory & Environmental
Kyle McCormack is a Vice President of Regulatory and Environmental affairs for Beowulf E&D, where he oversees all regulatory and environmental activities for the Company and is responsible for compliance, agency engagement, policy, internal audit, and permitting. Mr. McCormack has over 20 years of regulatory compliance experience in the energy industry and serves as Vice Chair of Environmental Systems for Combustion Turbine Operations Technical Forum (CTOTF).
Kris Schauermann
VP, Human Resources
Kris Schauermann is a Vice President of Human Resources for Beowulf E&D, where she manages human resources, administers and manages employee benefits, and employee hiring. Ms. Schauermann joined Beowulf in 2010 and holds a SHRM-SCP Certification from the Society for Human Resources Management.
David Subry
VP, IT
David Subry is a Vice President of Information Technology at Beowulf E&D, where he oversees all information technology operations including systems and network administration, business applications, cyber security, technical engineering, and business continuity. Mr. Subry is also responsible for managing IT audits and overseeing regulatory compliance with external entities. Mr. Subry has over 20 years of experience with maintaining and designing sophisticated networks ensuring smooth operation of mission-critical electronic power production equipment and systems. Prior to joining Beowulf, Mr. Subry served as a consultant and internal manager who designed and oversaw various IT projects including data center infrastructure build outs and implementation. He has substantial experience in integrating next generation technology to maximize organizational effectiveness. Mr. Subry received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Colorado.
Tammy Reid
Human Resource Manager
Tammy Reid is the Human Resource Manager for Beowulf E&D, where she is responsible for recruiting, policy and procedure development, and employee relations. She started her career in HR over 30 years ago working for various industries within hospitality, nonprofit, and manufacturing. She recently joined the Beowulf Team in February of 2022. Ms. Reid holds a Senior Certified Professional certification through the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP).
